Top 100 influential woman our keynote speaker

Dr Kirstin Ferguson, named by the Australian Financial Review as one of Australia's top 100 influential women in 2014, will be the keynote speaker at the QRC/WIMARQ International Women's Day Breakfast on 6 March.

Kirstin is a non-executive director on a number of publicly listed, private company and government boards and has been involved with the mining and resources sector for many years.

In her most recent executive role she was CEO of an international organisation working within the sector, and now sits on the boards of Leighton Holdings Ltd and SunWater Ltd.

Kirstin has previously been chairman of the Thiess Advisory Board and a director of Dart Energy Ltd.

Outside of mining and resources, Kirstin sits on the boards of SCA Property Group Ltd, the Queensland Theatre Company and was the first female director appointed to the board of Queensland Rugby Union.

Kirstin has a PhD in Business focused on safety leadership and safety governance, as well as Honours degrees in Law and also Arts.

She is a Sir Winston Churchill Fellow, the current QUT Colin Brain Corporate Governance Fellow and was previously named Australian Institute of Management’s Brisbane Young Manager of the Year.
